The tabletop of the Dickson console is constructed from oak planks while the base is constructed with mortise and tenon joints. The joints add a timeless trait to the weathered console as the pins remain visible on the outside of the table. It is a way of constructing furniture that is over a thousand years old and that can still be found in handmade furniture and antiques.
